Preserving Our Small‑Town Character, Planning for Tomorrow

My name is Lorri Hill and I am running for Highland Village City Council Place 6.

Highland Village is a place we’re all proud to call home. I want to represent the homeowners and the residents first. My goal is to help protect the small‑town character that makes our community so special.

As our city reaches build‑out and our region continues to grow, we need steady, thoughtful leadership to preserve what residents value while planning responsibly for the future.

My focus is on safe neighborhoods, growth that fits our community, and a balanced budget that keeps Highland Village strong for generations to come.

Why I’m Running

  • To protect Highland Village’s small‑town character as the region grows — ensuring development aligns with the community’s values.

  • To keep neighborhoods safe and secure — supporting strong public safety, emergency services, and the sense of comfort families expect here.

  • To maintain a balanced, responsible city budget — prioritizing essential services, using taxpayer dollars wisely, and planning ahead for long‑term stability.

  • To strengthen partnerships with local businesses — promoting the existing commercial base so the city can grow revenue without raising taxes or changing the character of the community.

  • To preserve the close‑knit, family‑centered culture that drew you here — keeping Highland Village a place where families feel connected, supported, and proud to call home.

Family‑Guided, Community‑Focused

My family has been the heart of my life and the foundation of my values.

For almost 27 years, Joel and I have been proud to call Highland Village home—a place where we raised our three children and built deep connections with our neighbors.

After a career in higher education and earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Texas, I’m committed to giving back to the community that has given so much to my family.
